I love furry things. Most of you know that by now. The furrier the better. So, I thought I’d share with you a few of my favorite pics from over the years. I love photography and would happily sit in a jungle all day (well, one without mosquitoes) to get pictures of cute critters.
Hang on, did I just write a post with no sarcasm? Hmmm…not sure I know what to do with that.
I LOVE HIS FURRY LITTLE NOGGIN! I wanna eat him!!!
Think he’d let me nuzzle his neck without eating my face?
I LOVE HIM!!! He was eating a banana I gave him. When I turned these pics in, 100 years ago, to get them cropped, the owner of the photography studio stole my negatives, entered my pictures into a wildlife photography contest and won awards with my sweet little groundhog pics. I sincerely wanted to burn his house to the ground.
OH MY GOD! Look at the furry chicken! Look at those feet!!!
This little cuddlebear posed for me for 10 minutes. Yet another critter I wanna eat in a non-eaty way.

You might wanna eat him – but he would definitely wanna eat YOU!
I WANNA EAT HIM, DAMMIT!!!
I love me some furries.
The white tiger looks similar to one I saw in Vegas. He was chained to a pole with no gated fence surrounding him and the owner was collecting money from tourists to touch him! No way in heaven would I ever approach a tiger tamed or not. People are so naive and do not respect the nature of the breast. He was enjoyable to look at. That’s about all. Great picture!
Oh my gosh! That sounds crazy!!! No fence? That is just nuts. I love furry things, but I’d hope I have enough sense not to put my hand anywhere near his HUGE, tooth-filled mouth.
Glad you enjoyed the pic. I just fell in love with his sweet little face.
I’m very disappointed. When I saw the title in my email, I was expecting something about sports.
DREAM ON!!!
Unless it is about the Redskins. Them I LOVE!
I have a trivia question for you. What 5 major sports teams do not end in “S”? I used to put that trivia question out when I was DJing. No one ever knew. NO GOOGLING!!!
OKC Thunder (just beat the Lakers…WOO HOO)
Orlando Magic
Miami Heat
*hmmm are they all going to be NBA???
That’s all I have off the top of my head.
Getting there! Don’t have to all be basketball.
I KNOW you can do it! I’ll give you a hint… Swwwing batter batter batter, swwwwing!!!!
ARG! Baseball teams with no “s” at the end??
Boston Red Sox
Chicago White Sox
That’s 5, but I’m guessing that there must be six. Where the OKC Thunder a team when you DJ’d? I assumed you were born an author!
Oh, I missed this comment! Yes, the Sox!
And no…there was no Thunder when I was DJing. I’m 328 years old.
NHL has Minnesota Wild
Can’t think of any NFL teams, off the top of my head.
FYI, this chat has inspired a blog entry for me…you will be named in the DalyDose!
ha ha ha
Rock on!
I love being an inspiration.
Think of something you wear on your feet. That’ll give you two teams.
Love the chicken!
Me too! I fell so in love with the chicken that I now have 2 chickens in the back yard!
Oh these are wonderful! I love the photos of the tiger (both). Wouldn’t it be so nice if we can have them as house pets?
Thank you, Gracie! I wanna nuzzle them and roll around on the floor with them and cuddle them on the sofa.
They all are wonderful pictures … The last Is awesome for the little thing to pose that long they usually scare easily…
Thank you! I was soooo delighted that the little guy didn’t scamper away. Chipmunks spook so easily, just like you said. He was posing for me. It was wonderful!
Great photos. I chuckled when i saw the furry chicken, its quite unique looking.
Thank you!!! I wanted to grab that little guy and steal him away from the petting zoo!
Haha that would be funny. looks like he should be in a cartoon.
OK. I don’t know if this is relevant to this conversation or not, but it’s HILARIOUS (to me at least). Sascha Baron Cohen doing his Ali G character and talking to a guy who is a veterinarian AND a veteran. His playing dumb is brilliant. PLEASE pay attention to the chicken that he laughs at!!
OH MY GOD THE FUZZY CHICKEN!!! (I actually screamed that happily at my computer when I saw him.) I LOVE HIM!!!! What on earth is better than a furry chicken???? And I love Ali G. Used to watch him in a slight state of inebriation and just crack up.
Thank you for the vid. That was great!
all great shot, I love the tigers
Thank you, Polly! The tigers were about 15 feet away. It was incredible!!
Great blog Jodi, I think you may have a lawsuit about the photos, those are some amazing captures haha. With all seriousness I think you should really take some time to go on an adventure and take photos of animals, I think that be a great blog to follow.
Awww…barronfilms! Thank you!!! One of my dreams in life was to be a wildlife photographer…A girl can dream, right? Thanks for the sweet words. They are very appreciated!
great pics. You’d love it here. Thousands and thousands of squirrels here. While on my hike, I even came across two squirrels and a chimpmunk. I think their mommy was sleeping around, but I could be wrong…
Oh my God, I would LOVE that!!!! I miss critters. Here in Arizona all we have are scorpions and asshole bugs. I WANT FURRY THINGS!!!!
Unfortunately, the squirrels here are suicidal. They like to run in front of me when I’m on the bike trail. I’m usually rolling down a steep hill wondering how I’m going to stop when they do.
Those little stinkers! NO SQUIRRELIES IN THE ROAD, DAMMIT!!
When Kristen was riding with me, I said “aww look, a squirrel….AWW CRAP! SQUIRREL!”
I can totally picture that in my head!!!
Love the furry chicken!
I love that little bastard soooo much! Those FEET!!!
LOL, that chicken is just insane looking! Great stuff on your site.
I want to maul that furry little thing! If I could take him home and snuggle him in bed and cuddle him, I would!!
LOL!!
Thanks for the like and follow on my blog today. I look forward to following your posts, too.

Hi Ruth! I love Pennsylvania! I grew up in MD. Say hi to all the green stuff around you–I miss all that green (and the squirrels and chipmunks) so much! Have a great holiday weekend.
They are soo cute!! Thanks a lot for stopping by my blog the other day, I like yours very much
You are very welcome! I love the furry little critters too–their sweet faces are just so adorable!
This is a lovely collection of photos.
The tigers are adorable (as long as I am not near them, of course!
Thank you! I love those little furries sooooo much!! I love the tigers too. The chicken always makes me giggle.
Oh my goodness! All these cuddly creatures warmed my heart! You captured their little personalities very well too. Thanks for sharing! xo
I’m so happy you liked them! I love me a fuzzy critter too! They bring be child-like happiness.
Awesome Pictures! I love all things furry…well, maybe not all
Thank you so much.
I am a furry lover too! Well, like you, MOST things that are furry. A girl does have her limits!
i love the furry chicken! never knew there was even such a thing
)
I about passed out when I saw that thing!!! I didn’t know they existed either. But I fell in immediate love with his furry little self.
I wish I had 10 of them!!
I was trying to find out where you live because we have an animal sanctuary here in Alpine called “Lions, Tigers & Bears.”
Awww…man! I wanna go!!! That sounds awesome. I’m in Arizona. Not much in the way of wildlife, unless you include snakes and scorpions.
Awesome photos! I love the last one best!
and I have a feeling the tigers might just wanna eat you as well! haha
Thank you, dear!!! I’m so glad you like my little chipmunk. I fell in love with him. I have another pic of him I’ll probably post when I drag my ass outta bed tomorrow. He’s too cute for only one picture.
As for the tigers, they are a bit chompy! I will try to avoid their big, teeth-filled mouths!
You’re welcome
Honestly, the tigers look just fine as they are.. and ALL of your photos are Awesome! but there is something in the chipmunk photo, that makes me love it the most!
I agree. The little chipmunk has a look of peace and contentment on his little furry face that I just love. He’s in his own little tree-heaven.
howdy…………..thanks for the like…….i stronly suggest you dont attemp to cuddle…..he can take your head of with one swipe……beautiful creatures………..i live in south africa and we have recently had some incidents of cheetas (apparently tame) mauling tourists…..chetaas are much smaller that tigers……i was once seriously mauled by an ordinary domestic cat……..natural born killers……………..
You are very welcome!
I promise not to find a tiger and try and cuddle him. as much as I’d LOVE to!!! I realize they wouldn’t be tigers if this happened, but if they could just have no claws, soft teeth and jaws that did not exert 4,000,000 PSI, I’d be in heaven. Maybe I just need a life-sized tiger teddy bear?
A house cat mauled you???? EVIL kitty!!! I love kitties, but I do NOT love mean kitties. I hope that didn’t make you a kitty-hater, though I’d understand.
haha……no im not a kitty hater…ive got three…..and two bull terriers and a foxy….oh and two young daughters (they are animals too ..lol)………..this cat ,blackie lived in the field when i moved into my home….we were buddies but on day whilst stroking him he lost it and bit right into my wrist and kicked my forarm a few times very hard and fast with his back legs……….very deep scratches (cuts)…..i never trusted him again and he remained a feral cat….but we were still on talking terms…………
Awww…you didn’t throw Blackie into traffic! You are a good man.
Those back feet are the killers! It’s like a Freddy Kruger nightmare, only real.
Glad you are still a critter lover. One naughty kitty didn’t ruin the whole batch.
Love the big kitties.
So do I!!! Furry little monsters!
These are oh so beautiful. I hope you sue him for doing that.
Thank you! And I so wish I could have!! This was back in 1990 and since he had my negatives and almost all of my print copies (thank God I had a few that I didn’t turn in for cropping) I couldn’t “prove” it. It was heartbreaking… I loved those little groundhogs!
I reposted this post on Facebook and Twitter. Love these pictures! Thanks for following me too!
Thank you soooo much! How sweet! So glad you like my critters. They make me happy every time I look at them. Have a terrific weekend

Hi Russ! You are very welcome! I love critters so much! If I could make a living taking pics of furries, I would.
I am a huge fan of rodents and am very pleased to see that you appreciate them too!!
I LOVE me a rodent!!!
Their little faces are so cute!
I love animals. Bloggers capture my heart when they post animal pics.
Oh, I’m an animal chick too! I love them sooooooo much!!! I’d live on a farm if I could.
So happy you liked them too! Taking pictures of furries just warms my heart.
I understand completely.
Me too.
GREAT PICS.
I’m partial to cats. My wife and I rescued many strays over the years.
When I first read about the chicken I read ‘funky chicken’. Now I can’t get the song or images of people dancing out of my head.
And everybody’s wearing red and white sox.
Awesome! Glad to be a song-stuck-in-head inspiration.
Can’t go wrong with a funky or furry chicken.
The hubby and I are cat people too. We love the little furries.
Oooops hit send to soon.
Thanks for following my blog. I’m still reading yours and it is very good.

Hi DPendleton! Thank you so much! What a kind thing to say.
And you are very welcome. I love finding cool new blogs to follow.
“Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!” Where are you? India. It’s actually a really good trivia question. India is the only place that has all three. I prefer to see animals in the wild, though it does cost quite a bit more than a trip to the zoo.
Regarding the tiger without a fence between you, that would probably be fine, even with a wild tiger, given certain factors. In India, you can see wild tigers either from the back of an elephant or from an open vehicle. The latter requires more luck. The tiger trackers in the parks are on elephants. Once they find one, you can ride in on an elephant to see him or her. For spotting one from a vehicle, you’d just have to be in the right place at the right time, a much less common occurrence.
Lions are even easier and more commonly seen. In an open safari vehicle, you are safe even at very close distances to lions. Don’t stand up in the vehicle and definitely don’t get out. But, I’ve been within 1.8 meters (about 6 feet) eye to eye with a lion who came over to lie down in the shadow of the vehicle for shade. What stopped that young male just beginning to get a mane from jumping in and eating me? Nothing. We’re just not on the menu.
So, by all means, do get out and see the furry animals. Few are as dangerous as a drive on the highway. For polar bears, you need to be in a safe place, like a tundra buggy. They will attack anything that moves. Most others are not like that. Guides will tell you the basic rules to stay safe.
I am SOOOOOOO jealous of your animal adventures!!! I would LOVE to go on safari. It’s a long-held dream of mine. You’ve had so many close encounters; how wonderful. One of these days I’ll will go on safari. I love furry things so much. Then I’ll have some truly amazing pictures.
Oh, and I’m in Arizona, but a lot of those pics were from places all over the country. Just a few from here in AZ.
Neat!
I love me some critters!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Gorgeous pics – I am a critter lover too!
Glad you like my critters!! I love the furries.
