Holy Cow Batman! It’s podcast time for the old blog!

I am soooooooooo excited to share this podcast from the wonderful and amazing Kris Keppeler. She took my “These are not words!” blog and read it into her podcast. She did a beautiful job! It’s so cool hearing my words come to life with the expert stylings of Kris. What a voice she has–she should be on NPR. Simply delightful!

Here’s the link to her podcast:

Playboy Sirius XM Radio, here I come again!

I’m so happy that I’ll be back on Playboy Radio for the third time tomorrow.

Whew, this is gonna be a busy week.  I’ll be on Playboy Sirius XM Radio tomorrow afternoon, Monday, December 3rd at around 1:00 Pacific, 4:00 Eastern, for a fun and titillating conversation with the beautiful and engaging Tiffany Granath as we talk about my philosophy on a happy life: Flatter, Frolic and Feed Your Honey. My first two books take care of 1 and 2. My cookbook takes care of 3.  :)  http://www.siriusxm.com/playboyradio

Then I’m on LA Talk Radio with the lovely and amazing Michelle Cannon Sullivan tomorrow night at 5:00 Pacific, 8:00 Eastern. http://www.latalkradio.com/Destiny.php

And finally, off to Chicago Wednesday night to film a TV cooking segment on Thursday morning for WGN America! Woo hoo!!! Still not sure if it’s going to air on Thursday’s or Friday’s lunchtime news show. Once I know I’ll give you the scoop. Just to make sure you can see it, set your DVR to record WGN’s news show starting next Thursday. That way, you won’t miss it.

I’m so nervous I could vomit and so excited I could scream. YAY!!!

I hope you can join me for all my fun this week.

HUGS!

Awesome Magazine Interview with ME! Yes, I paid him a million dollars to do it.

KIDDING!!!

I was blessed enough to have an interview on the radio with Cyrus Webb. He’s fantastic and he also has a magazine. He recently published an interview with me in his magazine in the Books are Sexy section. Woo hoo!

I just wanted to pass it along as I’m so excited and thankful that he would include me in his magazine. :)

Cougar Chat Radio Tonight! Join Us!

Get ready for some insanity because tonight I’m going to be on Cougar Chat Radio.

These ladies are wonderfully looney and I simply adore them! :)

Our main topic is going to be emotional affairs, like my post last week addressed. But, a birdie whispered in my ear that we’ll also be discussing my childhood addition to using my mom’s pregnancy-avoiding-device as a water fountain and shower. If you didn’t read my post from earlier today, you have to be wondering what in hell I’m talking about. Tune in and find out!

Here’s the link to the show: http://cougarchatradio.com/listen-live-here/

Can’t wait to talk to you guys tonight, on-air!

Help Name My New Radio Show! Yes, YOU!

Hey there, everyone!

As you may have already read, I’ll be hosting my own radio show probably some time in August. Yay! My wonderful publicist/agent/manager came up with a few names that I wanted to put in front of you guys to see which ones you like.

Here are his suggestions for a show that will air on Wednesdays at 11:00 pm Eastern:

  1. Pillow Talk with Jodi Ambrose
  2. Happy Endings with Jodi Ambrose (My husband already put the kibosh on this one, but it made me laugh out loud. I guess it does make me sound like a hooker or a cheap masseuse in a run down building)
  3. The Mid-Week Hump with Jodi Ambrose (Since it’s going to air on hump-day)

So, my challenge to you is this–vote on the one you like the best and if you have any other suggestions, leave me a comment with your suggestion. If anyone comes up with a name that isn’t on my publicists list and we use it, I will send you copies of my books and give you some serious props on my first show! :) Woo hoo!!

Thanks you guys!!! You rule! :)

YOUR opinion needed. Emotional affairs. Harmless or Harmful?

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. If you are in the States, I hope you are enjoying a nice, long holiday weekend! :)

I have a radio show coming up on June 4th on Cougar Chat Radio and we will be discussing emotional affairs.

This is such a controversial topic because so many people think that as long as there is no physical contact that anything is okay. Some people think that emotional affairs are worse than physical ones because they bind people’s hearts together, which can be even stickier than hot nookie.

Usually, I’d have some crazy story for you, full of fun expletives, smarmy commentary and inappropriate jokes. But this time, I don’t want to sway you one way other another. I would love to hear your stories about how emotional affairs have affected you. Whether you were the one in the emotional affair or were on the receiving end of one.

I have 2 polls below, one for guys and one for girls. But I would also really like to hear your stories. I’m going to list several questions and if you want to answer them, that would be great. If you want to leave any other kind of comment, that would be great too.

Thanks ahead of time for sharing with me.

Questions:

  1. Have you ever had an emotional affair?
  2. If you have:
    1. How did you feel about it? Okay? Guilty? Turned on?
    2. Did it affect your life with your significant other? If so, how?
    3. Did you tell your significant other about it? If so, what happened?
    4. Would you do it again?
  3. Have you ever been in a relationship where your partner had an emotional affair?
  4. If so:
    1. How did you find out about it?
    2. How did you react?
    3. How did it affect your relationship and your ability to trust?
  5. Do you think emotional affairs are worse/better than physical affairs? Why? Why not?

PS: I’ve no clue why the boy poll is smaller than the girl poll. There is nothing subliminal going on, I promise. :)

Thanks again for sharing with me. Your thoughts and opinions are very valued and appreciated.

Hosting my own radio show!

Hey everyone! Exciting news! In the next few months I’m going to start hosting my own radio show! Yay!!! It’ll be all things love, relationships and sex! Woo hoo! I can’t wait!

Where this will be fun for you guys is I’m going to have a theme song competition. For those of you who know me, you likely already know that I’m a rock-n-roll kind of girl. So, for any musicians out there who’d like to have a song of theirs (and full credit) be my intro theme, please send me an MP3 in the next 4-8 weeks. It’ll be a great way to promote yourself, your band, your music!

It can be a song you already have that has a sex/love theme or something you come up with. It only needs to be between 60-90 seconds long.

Here are things I like about music:

  • Weeping guitars! I love good guitar work!
  • A bluesy rock feel
  • A positive vibe (but not poppy at all)

You can send samples to jodi@jodiambrose.com. I can’t wait to hear what you have to play! :)

Join me on the radio tonight!
