My New Cookbook!!! (Reblogged from BlondiesBEARista.com) :)

Ummm…I don’t know what clicking a “press this” button does. Is this gonna post on my blog? I hope so!

Check out the wonderful post by the lovely blondiesBEARista.com.

I’m just tickled pink. :)

Thank you so much and thanks to all of you for everything. I’m so happy I have a blogging family that makes me smile every day. I value you guys more than you will ever know.

Now click on this link, follow her blog, and have a lovely evening. :)

My New Cookbook!!!.

PS: In case you didn’t notice, I kept all my Kindle books at $.99 because I’ve been so delighted by the reviews and all the wonderful feedback I’ve gotten that I wanted to keep them on the cheap a bit longer. MUCH LOVE!!!

I have laryngitis…of the fingers? What?

This is NOT the face I wanna see in the mirror! ;)

I didn’t even know this was possible! Laryngitis of the fingers? Who ever heard of such a thing?

Well, me. That’s who’s heard of it. :)

I’m going to take a little vacation for a week or two and rest my little brain. The demands of the day job, coupled with all the rest of the insanity has me a bit brain fried. Since my brain has become the kind of mush that I’m sure my cats would love to gnaw on, I think it needs some time to heal. Then I can revert back to my snarky, cussing, sassy ways and feel like a human again. Plus, with 18 hour a day work schedule, my cookbook is not getting written. Eee gawds, no! MUST. FINISH. BOOK.

So, my lovely, wonderful peeps, I will be back soon. I just need to get a little rest. And I’ll be out of town on business all next week anyway and wouldn’t have had much access to the craziness that fuels me anyway.

Much love to you guys and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks. I promise to have at least one ridiculously naughty/crazy/whack-a-do story for you when I return.

XOXOXOXOXO

Even I Was Stunned! Do You Know How Hard It Is To Stun Me??

First be warned: This post is NOT for the faint at heart. If you are delicate, run screaming for the hills and do NOT read this. Okay, disclaimer done.

I gotta tell you, I’ve never in my life heard so many insane things within the span of one hour in my entire life. NEVER!! And I’m one of those people who other people tell everything to, but this adventure was sheer maddness!

After looking down at my toes (furry as they are) and shivering from their lack of pedicure-love, I realized I had two options: Get a pedicure or cut my feet off and dump them in a ditch. I opted for the least painful of the options.

I have a great place that gives amazing pedicures, so off I go. The place was packed. People everywhere. I finally got snuggled into my massage chair, put my feet in the warm, lavender-scented, bubbling water, put my spectacles on top of my head, closed my eyes, rolled off into a place of bliss, and then heard, “Damn, this flare up is the worst ever. I have to pee in a tub of warm water.”  Ummm…okay. I’m sure the herps is just a horrible thing to have and God bless people who’ve been unlucky enough to get it, but must we hear about it at the pedicurist?? I mean, I have very little filter,  but good grief! That is NO filter. At all. It wasn’t like she even whispered it. She was telling the pedicurist in a regular, conversational tone. I tried SO hard not to look over at her (or at her muff), which was incredibly difficult as my curiosity was KILLING me. If I was a cat, I’d be dead.

Alas, the story by no means ends there. In order for this to not be a 4000 word tome, I’m going to give you a list of things I was privy to while getting my feet buffed, waxed, scraped, razor-bladed, perfumed and painted.

From a guy across from me, talking to his pedicurist. Approximate age: 25.

  1. I’m not gay. I just like getting pedicures.
  2. (10 minutes later) I know I kinda look gay, but really I’m not.
  3. (30 seconds later) Well…except for that one time… but one time doesn’t make you gay.  (No, I am not shitting you. I about spit the gum outta my mouth laughing.)

From a chick next to the guy, talking on the phone. Approximate age: 40.

  1. Yeah, it finally happened last night and it hurt like hell.
  2. I didn’t think he was ever going to get in there.
  3. Did someone sew me closed and not tell me?
  4. There was blood all over the place.
  5. Then I told him to get out.

I can only begin to imagine that she was discussing losing her virginity? She seemed a bit up in the years for that, but what in the hell else could it be? I love how she told him to “get out” afterwards. I guess he served his purpose! ;) Good Lord…

From the chick next to me, on my right, talking to the chick she came in with. Approximate age: 30

  1. I am NEVER having a baby again. NEVER!
  2. That man has no idea what it’s done to my…(we’re going to pretend she said something ladylike, like “muff” or “hoo-ha”, alas, she did not.)
  3. I guess he’ll find out soon enough. Ha ha!
  4. I need to get back to my plastic surgeon. I can’t live my life like this. This sucks.
  5. Well, I already got my eyes, boobs, stomach and nose done. Why not there too? (Seriously, kill me. The picture in my head is more than I can bear!! :) )

Needless to say, the next time I get a pedicure I’m either going to bring earplugs or a tape recorder. I’ve never heard so many genital-related conversations in my life! It was worse than a trip to the gyno!

AM I GOING TO HAVE TO CHASE YOU WITH A HAMMER????

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

Do you have any idea how blessed I feel to have so many wonderful new friends? SUPER DUPER BLESSED! (Oh, good grief, I sound like such a nerd. I must confess, I am one.)

From the bottom of my heart, these lovely awards mean so very much to me. That you guys would take the time to include me just gives me the warm fuzzies. I appreciate you all so very, very much!!!

One thing you guys probably know about me is that I’m terrible at following the rules. So, this post might not meet all of the requirements, but here they are for those that I’m sending the awards to:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their site.
  2. Nominate other people (you choose how many–whatever makes you happy.)
  3. Write some bad ass things about yourself.

I think those are all the rules and I probably screwed them up, but here goes!

Just so ya know, I nominate all kinds of people. Sometimes, I even disagree with what they have to say. But that is the great thing about blogging is that everyone has a voice. I simply love that!! :)

Here are the amazing blessings given to me in the last couple of days by some seriously incredible people who you should immediately follow and love like I do:

The Sunshine Blogger Award, by Drawing Room Days and Getting Naked Behind the Wall and SwittersB & Fly Fishing and TimZauto   (HOLY SHIT! You guys are making me blush!)

I would like to nominate these kick ass peeps:

The Versatile Blogger Award, by Photography + Science = Chanel

Yep, you guys are getting nominated too:

  1. All Things Boys
  2. The Brabble Rabble
  3. Simply Eclectic

The Kreative Blogger Award, by shreyandpixlar

THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM NOMINATIONS!!!

The Reader Appreciation Award, by kyllingsara

Nope, you can’t escape me either:

  1. amateuraficionado
  2. Love and Lunchmeat
  3. Memoirs of an Evil Stepmom

All of these awards mean so very much to me. I really cannot express my gratitude to all of you for being so kind. I hope that all of you stop by and follow their blogs as you will find some incredible people there with great stories and much to share.

Since I always let it all hang out anyway, none of this stuff will likely surprise you, but I stole 10 questions from Getting Naked Behind the Wall‘s award blog and thought I’d spill my guts with these. Here goes!

  1. What is a favorite childhood memory? Well, if you read my recent post about drinking out of and bathing with my mom’s old douche bag, you already know my favorite (horrible!) childhood memory!
  2. What is a real fear you have? Falling and either breaking all of my teeth or landing on something with my eye. EWWWWW!!!!
  3. How would you describe yourself? Happy. In love. Content. Kind. Occasionally funny. A doofus.
  4. What Countries have you lived in? USA
  5. What is your style? Jammie pants and tank tops.
  6. What is your favorite breakfast food? How much time to you have? Chocolate chip pancakes. BACON! A good omelet. HASHBROWNS!! BACON! Oh, already said that one.
  7. What are some of your hobbies? Reading, writing books, photography, playing with teddy bears and furries (I know…I know…) hanging out with the hubby.
  8. If you could tell people anything, what would be the most important thing to say? I have a few here, so get comfortable!
    1. Don’t worry about 5 or 10 extra pounds. When you die will people say, “Wow, their death would be so sad if only they’d been 8 pounds thinner.” ??? No. Then don’t let those couple of pounds ruin enjoying your life.
    2. Being judgmental sucks. So quit it if you are. Allowing people to be who they are is freeing to both them AND you.
    3. Learn how to say, “No.” Best 2 letter word on earth.
  9. What is one of your passions? Helping people find greater love in their relationships.
  10. What is the one truth you have learned? I will always play with teddy bears. No matter my age. ;)

Thank you again, so very, very much for the amazing awards. My heart is officially warmed!!! Love you guys!!!

LOOK MA!! I won me a prize! Look! Look!

You guys are gonna make me cry!!!! Seriously, all this sweetness is simply wonderful. Especially, since I just run off at the mouth so much. To know you guys enjoy it thrills me to the bottom of my incredibly wide Flintstone feet. :)

I am so blessed to have been awarded the Sisterhood of the World Blogger award!! Sweet!!! HUGE thanks to the wonderful thesubterraneanworld who has both wonderful poetry but also posts the prettiest pictures!  Her blog is wonderfully varied and amazing and everyone should check it out. THANK YOU!!! :)

So, here are the 7 things about me that you may not know (though I tend to spill it all anyway!):

  1. I wear a necklace everyday that contains the dried petals of the first flower my hubby ever gave me (on Thanksgiving 2007)
  2. I just bought a double sized Snickers, stuck it in the fridge and plan on scraping all the chocolate off of it first (with my teeth of course) then eating the center of it. Yum!
  3. I currently have 7 teddy bears surrounding me on the sofa.
  4. My chicken just started laying eggs this week. Woo hoo!
  5. I’m going to put soft lights under my sofa and tv stand for nice ambient lighting.
  6. My birthday is next week!
  7. The toenail on my big toe on my left foot is all weird and narrow because I had to get surgery on it when I was 19. OUCH! If you ever have to identify me in the morgue, just look at my toe.

Alright, time to get to the good stuff! Here are my nominations (I guess I have to stick with chicks, right? Does a boy want a Sisterhood award?)

  1. http://readncook.wordpress.com/
  2. http://hutchagoodlife.wordpress.com/
  3. http://fiztrainer.tumblr.com/

I’m a Sunshine Blogger Award Winning Mo Fo! :) Yay!

I am soooooooooo delighted to have won the Sunshine Award! How awesome is it that someone as mouthy and sassy as me can win an award with the word Sunshine in it! I’m so tickled!!! Thank you so much, The Unpredictable Life, for passing along this award to me!! I am so honored and appreciative. :)

Answers to the Ten Questions About Me:

1. What is a favorite childhood memory?

I used to love building snow caves with my sister. We’d get big ole blizzards and my sister and I would build snowmen, make snow angels, hide out in snow caves. It was wonderful.

2. What is a real fear you have?

If you’ve read my blog, you know this already: kicking my pedicurist in the face by accident (well, I’d certainly HOPE it would be by accident!!)

3. How would you describe yourself?

Wow, this is actually a much harder question than it seems. Hmmmm…well, I’m happy most of the time, have the mouth of a trucker, love fiercely, forgive easily and try to never hurt anyone. I guess that pretty much sums me up.

4. What states have you lived in?

I’ve lived in Maryland and Arizona, but have visited 45 out of 50 states. Too much damn travel for work over the years.

5. What is your style?

Jammie pants, tank tops (with those comfy bras already built into them), bare feet and a ball of hair on my head. Though I can clean up nicely. ;)

6. What is your favorite breakfast food?

Chocolate chip pancakes with powdered sugar and a platter of bacon. Oh, throw in some butter-soaked toast and English muffins.

7. What are some of your hobbies?

Sleeping. Yep, I love to sleep. When not sleeping, I like to cuddle my Muffinbear, write books, play with my cats, hamster, chickens and teddybears (I know…I know…), blog, take pictures of things, watch movies, read a ton, get massages. Really, the list just goes on and on.

8. If you could tell people anything…what would be the most important thing to say?

Mother of God, I could write a book or two on this subject ;) .  If I have to pick one, I’d say my own personal mantra might work here. “Wake up, hurt no one, go to sleep, wake up, repeat.” I figure that actually covers a whole host of other things because if you spend your life being kind and hurting no one, you are actually also being respectful, loyal, honest, caring, thoughtful, etc…

9. What is one of your “passions”?

Helping people find joy and love. I didn’t write my books to make money, I wrote them so people could get past all the dumb shit that gets in the way of a happy, healthy relationship and figure out how to exist in a wonderful place of love every day.

10. What is one truth that you have learned?

If I surround myself with loving people, I am loved. If I surround myself with asshats, my life will suck. Cut out the cancerous people in life–they are never worth the heartache they cause.

Here are my 10-12 nominees. Very Inspiring blogs that inspire and support me always.

Genuine Blogger Award–My sassy mouth is a good thing, who knew?!

Well peel my potatoes! KyllingSara awarded me the Genuine Blogger Award!!! I’m sooooo excited and tickled!!!

I gotta tell you guys, starting this blog was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I have met more wonderful people here, who genuinely inspire me on a regular basis, then I could have imagined.

This particular award doesn’t come with the same set of rules attached to it as other awards, but I want to pass it along to ZenandtheArtofBorderlineMaintenance. Not only does she amaze me with the things she’s survived in life, but her dedication to always making the world a brighter place is simply lovely.

Zen is also allowing me to use one of her posts in the book I’m currently writing. This will be book 3 in a series on how to have a happier life and one of her posts touched me deeply, so it’s going in the book! If you haven’t read her letter to her dad, click here to read it. Talk about being a genuine blogger…

Thanks so much to KyllingSara for this amazing award. I am truly honored, more than you know. :)

Much love!!!
