  1. You so write so well, that inspires me to keep writing. XO

Ok, could you add cookies on to the love and nookie? A relationship of support, love, nookie and cookies, is, um, a triple sweet deal?

I LOVE chickens. Used to have them. The eggs are wonderful, aren’t they?

So glad you’re not running out of words! Keep on bloggin’. 🙂

  2. Zen, you are my new favorite person! 😉 I will SO add cookies to my list! Cookies, nookie and love are the trifecta! 🙂 When the hubby asked me what I wanted for dinner last night, my response was, “Pizza topped with chocolate with french fry sprinkles.” Mmmmmm….yummm…

Chickens rule! Glad I’m not the only chicken lover. My husband got them for me for Christmas. I was in heaven. We got 2 of them (supposedly hens) and surprise, surprise, one of them is a boy! So now we get a 5am wake-up call (which I’m sure my neighbors just love) from our little rooster. I figure that maybe, if we grab the eggs up the moment they are laid, we won’t get any 1/2 chicken filled eggs. Ewwww…that would be awful!!!

Have a great weekend, Zen. You are such a delight to talk with. 🙂

  4. Yes, thank you so much. When I first started my blog, all I could think about was the mountains of hate mail I would get for writing about such a thing. Instead, I find nothing but well wishing and great advice. I hope, more than anything, that one day, my blog will help someone else like yours is helping me.

  5. You are very welcome! I can take a guess as to why you get supportive rather than hate-filled email. You sound so incredibly sincere in your posts. You don’t come across as a jerk or womanizer; you come across as someone who is really struggling with a life altering problem who wants to work through it without hurting anyone. Your sincerity comes across in your posts. As always, I wish you much luck getting through these confusing times.

  6. Congrats on the award! It’s certainly well-deserved and I’m eager to see more of your inspiring posts… Also, thanks so much for following my own blog. You’ve inspired me to expand a little more on it this month. 🙂

It’s so amazing that you have chickens — fresh eggs can’t be beat!

    • Hi Karen! Thank you so much! What a sweet comment. It’s my pleasure to follow your blog. I look forward to reading all of your posts. As for the chickens–I LOVE THEM! They are so cute. My husband just built a huge fence around their coop so that they have tons of room to play. It’s just heaven. My hen is still to little to produce eggs and our other hen turned into a rooster! (Dumb chicken selling store gave us one of each by accident.) But I figure as long as we grab the eggs the same day she lays them, when the time comes, that hopefully we can enjoy eggs that don’t have baby chickens in them. I’m quite sure I’d pass out in the floor if I ever opened up a half-chicken-egg. Eee gawds, that would suck. 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by. It’s been great making new friends this last week on WordPress. 🙂

  7. Hi Jodi, I know this sounds really silly but after reading this again does this mean I got an award and I can now do as you did and pass it on or that I have been nominated, and have to await one when I am worthy?

    Damn confidence hahaha.

I am daft, face palm, big hugs, Stu.

    • Hi Stu! No face palming necessary. 🙂 I had the exact same question to the person who nominated/awarded it to me and she told me that when she got the award, she too had no idea what to do! 😉 It’s confusing as hell, but it still a lovely thing to receive.

Essentially, being nominated is the same thing as being given the award! Woo hoo! So, to accept the award you just do the same thing I did–tell 7 things about yourself and pass along the nomination/award to 7 other bloggers that you feel make a difference or have something cool to say that others could learn from.

It’s always so nice hearing from you. Hope you are having a wonderful week. 🙂
