Nanny nanny boo boo! ;)

.

I have ALL my Christmas shopping D.O.N.E.!!!! 🙂 Woo hoo! HomerWooHoo

Oh, and I have everything wrapped and under the tree (except just a few presents that FedEx is dragging ass getting to me).

I know. I’m a freaking lunatic! It’s not even Thanksgiving.

But, if it makes you feel any better, a bunch of the lights on my tree went out, so I ordered a bunch of LED replacement lights (hopefully they’ll last for the next 10 years) and I have to take everything off the tree, fix the lights and then redecorate.

I’d almost rather burn down the tree and start from scratch. De-ornamenting (SO not a word!!) a tree to me is almost as miserable as a root canal. 😉

At least with a root canal I get Valium and laughing gas!

Here’s the tree before all the lights started going out (and before I was finished wrapping presents). PS: There are two very un-Christmas-like things in the pic…can you find them?? 😉

And here’s the living room (again, not quite done yet, but well on its way).

As you can tell, I’m a Christmas maniac! 🙂 I save all year long to make Christmas extra special for everyone as that makes it awesome for me too.

I hope you guys have a wonderful holiday season, regardless of what you celebrate.

Much love!

  1. Hello Beautiful Jodi. I’m not quite as maniacal as you since I haven”t wrapped anything but I have at least finished buying all the main gifts. It’s no use saying I’ve finished everything as I”ll buy stocking presents up to the last minute.
There won’t be a tree so I needn’t worry about that but maybe I’ll stick some lights round the window.
As yet I don’t know whether I’ll be on my own but if my brother comes I’ll have to pull my finger out with food.
I’ll prepare my Christmas cards this weekend so maybe I’m ahead of you on that?
How you gonna play darts now?
Hope you have a Wonderful time, everything looks great.

    • Hi there, doll! 🙂 Good for you for being an early gift getter! I find it takes off the stress as Christmas approaches. Like you, I’ll probably still buy stocking stuffers up until the last moment. Sometimes ya just can’t resist. 🙂

As for Christmas cards…I’m horrible and never send them. I hardly ever give cards. I’m bad. 😉 I hope your brother comes and visits–even if that does stick you with making the food. I’m sure it’ll be great.

HUGS right back at’cha sweetheart! 🙂

  2. First of all…let me say what everyone else is thinking! 😛
You are a crazy woman! Lovely tree though… but I have to agree with
jeffdalydose it is waaaaaaaaaay toooo soooooooon! But you are not the only one. I know someone who has her treessss (that’s pural) up already?? WTF? Oh and this same chick LOVES snow! ick! I am such a freaking Scrooge. I do not decorate AT ALL! Nothing! Not a wreath on the door, not a tree, no little green and red soaps in the bathroom. NUTIN honey! LOL! I used to but then it got to be crazy. I have beautiful decorations up in the attic. Maybe someday, but not this day….

    • I’m a totally insane bonkers chick!!! And, you’ll likely not be surprised to hear this, but I often leave it up until April. I’m SUCH A DORK!!!! Like your friend, I have multiple trees too. A 3 footer in the Mommy Room (reserved for visiting mommies), 7 of the collapsible type (LOVE THOSE!) in 2 spots in the house, plus numerous wreaths and lights and Christmas teddies. It’s CRAZY TOWN! Once Grant puts up the Christmas Teddy hammock (yep, I have one of those) and I get them all set up, I’ll post a picture.

The only real holidays I celebrate are Thanksgiving (as long as my ass doesn’t have to cook!), Christmas (for which I’m clearly insane!) and birthdays. Easter is important in my heart, but I don’t do much for it holiday-wise. Since I don’t celebrate too many of them, I tend to go…well…a bit overboard for the ones I do.

My mom stopped decorating for Christmas for the last 15 years or so, except she’s inspired to do so this year, so like you she’s had storage full of awesome Christmas stuff. 🙂 I was tempted to steal it from her! 🙂
