Alright Stop! Critter Time!

Hello, my lovely friends.

I’ve missed you guys. I swear my day job is trying to kill me. Damn needing-a-paycheck, not-independently-wealthy person that I am, I just can’t bear to look at a computer after the day ends.

But, I did take a little time to download some pics from the camera to show you some of the AMAZING critters the hubby and I saw when we were at the San Diego Zoo and Bearizona. I quite literally have about 3000 pictures to go through (someone please kill me), so there will be more down the road.

I hope you love the furries! XOXOXO

First, the San Diego Zoo.

Tongue-sticky-outty Panda!

Here’s a little Panda video for your viewing pleasure. Nom nom nom! πŸ™‚

Oh, and for the most part, whenever you see the camera shake, it’s because I was being assaulted by ants! Little biting bastards!

We did a special behind-the-scenes tour at the Zoo and were able to go into the animals’ habitats…hence the close up pictures with no cages or fences in the way. πŸ™‚

Can I help you, ma’am? Quit starin’ at me!

Yeah, that’s MY woman. Back off or I’ll maul your ass!

And now to Bearizona!

Mr. Bear was about 3 feet away from our car. Of course, being the rule-breaking mo fo that I am, I had the window down. How’s he supposed to hear me talking to him with the window up? πŸ˜‰

Bear

Owlie-kins was awesome! Last time we met him, he hooked his claws into my hair. Totally kick ass!

I love me some kitties! I love me some kitties!

Lynx

Okay, so it’s a little blurry. But he’s yawning!

We’re just sleepin’, mama. Leave us alone!

Wolfie

Seriously, this wolf was 2 feet from us. And yes, again, the window was down. I was glad they didn’t throw us out!

Last but not least, here a few of the hubby and me enjoying our mini-vacations. πŸ™‚

I can think of few things better than being mauled by a million speckle-butted deer!

    • Hi there, beautiful girl! πŸ™‚ XOXOXOX

I love the critters so much. We spent the first weekend at the San Diego Zoo and then the next weekend at Bearizona and the Grand Canyon Petting Zoo. We were celebrating our 8-year, first-date anniversary. It was simply amazing.

And yeah, a break from the grind was critical. It’s been total insanity since January. I’m taking off the entire week at Thanksgiving and then 2 weeks at Christmas. I can’t WAIT!

      Love you! πŸ™‚

      • Awesomesauce! You totally deserve the time off. We will have the whole week at Thanksgiving also, but hubby has used up all of his PTO now so only Christmas Day this year. But he had 13 days last year at Christmas, so can’t complain..much! πŸ˜‰
We have been married 29 years and the date of our first anniversary was 30 years ago last summer. My how time flies! πŸ™‚

      • Oh my gosh! 29 years? Did you get married when you were 8? How wonderful. I tell Grant that if he ever makes me single again that I’ll murder him in an unpleasant way and bury him in the backyard with all the hamster and chicken corpses. πŸ˜‰

Sorry you guys don’t have more time off during the holidays. That blows. I typically save most of my vacation time for the end of the year. Which makes me a crazy bitch starting about August. But it’s so worth it to have so much time to relax. All work and no play makes Jodi a raging psychopath! πŸ˜‰

“Sugar britches!” LOVE IT!!! My dad used to call my mom that. πŸ™‚ XO

  3. Talk about cute and adorable photos, many of us wish we didn’t have to work, ok not me since I don’t work, I am a mum and nanna and that is my job but others like you and Tim and my daughters they all need to go work to make money in order to live, I just live of the money Tim makes

    • I have no doubt, my friend, that your job as mum and nanna is harder than my day job ANY day. Your job doesn’t ever give you a day off. πŸ™‚

Happy you enjoyed the pics. The little critters were so cute! πŸ™‚
